  • Overview

This impact driver offers the precision of a variable speed (0-2,600 RPM and 0-3,100 no-load bpm). It is made with a Bosch-developed hammer and anvil system for increased muscle and better tool durability (This hammer and anvil system produces double the torque of a gear-driven system). It is compact-built and features a head length of 5.4 inches, this design makes the drill small enough to fit into tight areas and narrow corners. Along with its reduced size, the driver weighs 2 pounds, making it very fit for continuous overhead work. Having a product dimensions of 12.6" x 9.7" x 4.1", and an impressive run-time provided by the Lithium Ion battery, it supplies full power and flexible portability to its operator, getting tough jobs done painlessly.
It comes with two(2) 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Batteries, one(1) Charger, two(2) Screwdriver Bits, one(1) Contractor bag, and of course one(1) PS41 12-Volt Max Impact Driver.
This Bosch impact driver also features a Fuel Gauge for easier battery management for continued work.
The Bosch 12-Volt Max Impact Driver is backed by a one-month money back guarantee and a manufacturer's one-year limited warranty.

  • Chuck

It features a ¼" hex drive with quick release for more job-site productivity, and it has a spring-loaded impact mechanism that reduces operator fatigue. This chuck is a bit small and is very easy to get grip on.

  • Torque

This incredibly Bosch impact driver PS41-2A 12V Max features a high torque of 930 in.lbs for total efficiency in tough drilling applications. It provides a force as powerful as it is compact. The driver packs a punch For coverage of 80 percent of impact driving applications.

  • Battery

The driver is user-friendly, with an easy-to-read fuel gauge for effortless battery management. But let's set the truth straight. A lot of misleading adverts state that this impact driver features a 30 minute rapid battery charger, well this may not be the case, because it actually takes 52 minutes to charge each battery.

The charger included with this kit smells like burning power supply or other electronics after about 5-10 minutes of charging, and it also gets very hot. Remember, this is just the charger, not the battery. So if you are fortunate enough to have a 30 minute charger from other Bosch drills which use the same batteries (BC430), it would charge these batteries without heat, smoke, or any issue.

  • Verdict

This Bosch Impact Driver tool is easy to handle and fits into narrow spaces. Featuring a Durashield housing and an all-metal gearbox, this impact driver is able to withstand all the abuse found on professional job-sites and for this single reason, this tool is a good choice for the job-site projects or a professional grade fastening applications.
The manageability of the tool combined with its lighter weight and ergonomic easy-grip handle also makes it an ideal solution.

            Pros

            • - It was designed and tested to endure 25 drops from 12 feet high onto solid concrete. This is definitely not the standard-issue plastic covering found on other tools.

            Cons

            • - Center hex shaft is not straight and wobbles a little when pulling the trigger. Also when your hex bit is locked into place, it slides in and out about 1/4 of an inch. Not a big deal but that wouldn't be what you'd expect for paying a substantial amount of $.
            • - The actual grip handle has much larger diameter then MAKITA & DEWALT because that's where the battery goes. On the average, the human palm measures 9.5 inches from pinky to thumb tips. Somebody with a smaller hand probably may not like this tool.
